About ME
Based out of Montreal, Canada, Jon Kaspy is a mastering engineer who has recorded, mixed and mastered records with clients both Canadian and international. His 10+ years of experience in audio ranges from mastering both of Jeremy Dutcher’s Polaris Prize winning albums (Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa in 2018 and Motewolonuwok in 2024) to recording the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and teaching mastering and listening skills as guest faculty in audio at Banff Centre. Kaspy’s varied skill set and musicality put him at home in many situations and makes him well suited to sitting in the mastering engineer’s chair.
Kaspy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (Jazz) from Humber College and a Master’s Degree in Sound Recording from McGill University.
